Phoenix six steps to a successful sale

Although a sale can be exhausting and stressful for all parties concerned our 6 step process helps us guide you through as smoothly as possible.

  1. Your first meeting with us will be conducted by a director with huge experience in selling businesses. YOU WILL NOT BE APPROACHED BY A SALESMAN. The purpose of the meeting is to access the timing and feasibility of a potential sale. A full appraisal of the business will be undertaken and all issues relating to a sale will be discussed.
  2. At the second meeting a full presentation will be made to discuss value and marketing strategy to achieve optimum sale price. A bespoke marketing package will be put forward after careful consideration of all aspects of the sale including sanitisation and industry specific matters. We work by a full checklist so that all possible pitfalls can be worked out prior to commencement of marketing. Thereafter costs will be agreed.
  3. After instructions, a sales memorandum will be prepared along with all other sales material for your approval. Also a prospectus will be drafted on the business which is the most important document as it will contain all the benefits and details of the company.
  4. Marketing will commence ensuring at all times discretion is exercised. Confidentiality agreements are completed prior to any release of information. All potential purchasers are qualified to ensure synergy with the business, and financial status is established. Meetings are then arranged with qualified buyers with our director in attendance. We believe this is important as you have continuity of service. Our experience tells us that clients do not like to deal with lots of different personnel. You will be kept closely informed of all stages with telephone calls and written reports. When serious buyers have been short listed the company prospectus will be released.
  5. Matters then reach negotiation stage which again will be undertaken by a director. Experienced negotiating can make a huge difference to the price achieved. When a sales price and terms are agreed then matters are handed to solicitors and accountants to undertake due diligence.
  6. We will then continue to liaise with all parties until completion, keeping you informed at all times.

Easy as that! Rest assured we shall be making matters as stress free as possible for you.
